Booking Terms & Conditions

When you make a booking with us the following terms and conditions will apply:

Age Requirements

To book at Brighton Shores, you must be over the age of 21 years. Proof of identification and/or age will be required on check in.  All clients under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or an individual over the age of 21, the property has the right to refuse any booking, when the legal guardian cannot provide current photo I.D. when requested at check-in.

Best Rate Gaurantee

On the unlikely occasion you find a lower rate that is not listed on www.brightonshores.com.au, please contact Reception on (07) 5503 0841 and we will be happy to match it.  The rate must be publicly available and valid for the same arrival and departure dates.  The rate must be listed in AU$ (Australian Dollars), not influenced by a currency conversion and include good and services tax (GST).

Bookings/Quotes

Bookings can be made via this website or by calling Reception on (07) 5503 0841. Any verbal quote given is only an estimate of the price, and all Reservation prices will be subject to confirmation at the time of booking. The person making a booking shall be deemed to have accepted the booking conditions on behalf of all persons travelling.

Cancellation/Refunds

If cancelled more than 30 days prior to expected arrival, 12% of the total accommodation will be deducted from your deposit. If cancelled LESS than 30 days prior to expected arrival, a refund will only be given in the event that the unit is relet less 12% of the total accommodation cost for administration charges.

Car Parking

You agree to enter the car park at your own risk. Brighton Shores does not accept any responsibility for damages or loss to your property or property belonging to someone else.

Changes to Booking

Any changes made to your booking must be made via Reception during office hours on (07) 5503 0841 or email: info@brightonshores.com.au – we will do our best to assist you, but cannot guarantee that changes can be made. Such changes will depend on the terms and conditions of your particular booking or the terms and conditions of the third party supplier (if applicable).

Check-in/Check-out

Our check-in time is 2pm and check-out time is 10am. Late check-out after this time may incur an extra night’s room charge.

Check-in Requirments

All guests are required to provide a credit card pre-authorisation to the value of $300.00 on arrival to cover any miscellaneous charges.  Where a credit card is not available a $300.00 cash deposit will be required. In addition, to eliminate identity fraud, we will ask you to provide photo ID at check-in to ensure that your identity matches the booking identity. A record and/or copy of this photo ID may be retained to minimise the risk of fraudulent credit card usage and for verification purposes with your credit card provider in the event of disputation. Any personal information contained on the collected ID will be securely stored.

Child Policy

Please check room occupancies carefully.  Children 0-2 years inclusive are free of charge using the existing bedding in each apartment.  Additional bedding must be pre ordered if required, however must not exceed the maximum bedding conditions of the apartments.  Charges apply for additional bedding.

Damage

The guest who registers at check-in/arrival will be held accountable for any damage to the apartment and contents during the stay dates. The registered guest will be liable for damages caused (including those by third parties visiting the apartment) which result in forfeiting any deposits, pre-payment and also may be subject to additional charges depending on damage. We reserve the right to process any charges in addition to accommodation to the presented credit card supplied at check-in/arrival.

Emergency Service Fee

The registered guest agrees to pay an Emergency Service Callout Fee charged for false alarms. This includes circumstances relating to smoking and cooking inside the apartment where the smoke alarm is triggered.

Force Majeure

We will not be in breach of the agreement or any way liable to any party, if it is prevented from complying with this agreement by reason of act of God, act of public enemy, act of terrorism, war, earthquake, riot, explosion, compliance and with any law or government restraint order, rule regulations, strikes, lockouts or any other cause not reasonably within the control of Brighton Shores. We will not be liable for any loss of any kind whatsoever.

Internet

Complimentary internet is available in all apartments.

Limit of Liability

We do our best to ensure your reservation arrangements are satisfactory, however Brighton Shores does not accept any liability whatsoever for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond our control including, but not limited to, war, civil disturbance, terrorism, fire, floods, acts of God, acts of Government or of any other authorities, accident to or failure of machinery or equipment, maintenance requirements or industrial action.

Payment

Payment for entire stay is required at check-in/arrival. For high demand periods and special events, different payment policies that require pre-payment may apply. The payment policy will be confirmed at time of reservation. If the payment policy is not adhered to, the reservation may be cancelled. We accept electronic funds transfer at point of sale (EFTPOS), Visa and MasterCard. All amounts are charged in $AU (Australian Dollars).

Pet Policy

Brighton Shores does not permit pets. An animal is considered a breach of your accommodation conditions and you will be asked to leave or remove the animal. Guide Dogs are permitted and must have a medallion on their collar with the registration number and the owner must also carry a laminated pass (with the owner and dog’s name). Guide Dogs are required to be harnessed in public areas. Please advise ahead of time if you will be travelling with a Guide Dog.

Photographs & Descriptions

Whilst care is taken to ensure that the photos and description of our facilities and services is accurate, these are continually being changed, upgraded, and on occasion, removed from service. If any feature or facility is essential to you in choosing a particular property, we highly recommend speaking with Reception whom will assist your decision making process and if that feature or facility will be available during your stay. Descriptions are based on information available at the time of publishing and may vary or change at any time. Maps and location photographs are shown for general information only and highlight places in surrounding areas. Actual suites occupied may vary in décor and inclusions from those shown in photographs.

Rates

All rates are quoted in AU$ (Australian Dollars) and are per apartment per night. Rates that have a valid confirmation by Brighton Shores will be honoured. Rates that have been quoted are not confirmed until a valid confirmation email has been sent from Brighton Shores and therefore subject to change. Brighton Shores reserves the right to amend rates that have been confirmed at incorrect rates due to human or distribution errors. All of our rates are “dynamic” and therefore subject to change without notification.

Reception Hours

Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 12:30pm, Sunday and Public Holidays closed.

Right of Entry

In the event that Brighton Shores has a legitimate cause for concern or if the guest has not been seen nor been able to be contacted over a period of time, the apartment may be entered by a Brighton Shores representative to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests is in order.

Right to Refuse Entry

Brighton Shores reserves the right to refuse a guest entry to the building or accommodation for any reason whatsoever including where the guest has engaged in conduct on a previous occasion adverse to the building.

Room Service

Brighton Shores is a fully self-contained apartment building and does not provide daily servicing or full amenities.  A small selection of personal items is provided at the beginning of your stay. A mid-week service is provided for bookings of 8 nights or more.  Additional room services are available and will incur an incidental charge.

Rubbish Removal

A rubbish (trash) chute is provided on each building floor for the removal of rubbish from the apartment. All guests are responsible for the removal of their own rubbish on a daily basis. Bags are provided in each apartments for this purpose and additional bags are available upon request to Reception.

School Leavers

Brighton Shores does not accept “Schoolies” bookings unless booked direct with Schoolies.com. The property does not have the policies, procedures or resources to accommodate the unique needs of school leavers during the annual Schoolies Period. We do not have adequate resources to engage qualified security personnel to guarantee the safety, comfort and convenience of guests during this period. For this reason, we reserve the right to reject bookings from school and/or university leavers for the entire ”Schoolies” period.

Security & Loss Prevention

Brighton Shores is a secure environment and we do everything possible to ensure security levels are maintained, and we ask that our guests do also. However, Brighton Shores takes no responsibility for any personal possessions that are lost, stolen or misplaced whilst on the premises.

Smoking Policy

All Brighton Shores apartments and guest areas are non-smoking.  We ask that you refrain from smoking in your room or public areas.  Smoking on your balcony is permitted as long as it does not interfere with the enjoyment of surrounding guests.  Evidence of smoking in rooms will incur a cleaning fee payable by the guest.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend Travel Insurance for all of those unexpected events leading to last minute cancellation.
